The Centre for Conscious Design (CCD) is excited to announce a call for submissions for the next edition of the Conscious Cities Journal.

We are seeking insightful essays, case studies, opinions + thought pieces, and photo essays that delve into the complex interplay between health, wellbeing, and the our built surroundings.

What We’re Looking For:

We invite contributions that examine how environments can influence health outcomes, promote mental and physical wellbeing, and embody Conscious Design Principles. Whether through case studies, theoretical explorations, or innovative design proposals, your work should provide a thoughtful analysis of how mindful design can transform our living and working spaces for better health outcomes.

Submission Guidelines:

– Length: 500-3500 words

– Format: Word or PDF format document, including photo essays. 

Topics May Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Science-Informed articles on the relationship of mental health, physical wellness and our built environment.
• Design strategies that promote mental health and physical wellness
• Innovative solutions for integrating health-focused design in urban planning
• Case studies on successful health-oriented design implementations

Please send your manuscripts using the form below. Your submission must be original, previously unpublished, and adhere to the thematic principles discussed on our Designing for Life Introduction to Health and Wellbeing article.
