Graduate Architect

I am an architectural designer whose philosophy is rooted in critical regionalism, with a vision to redesign the future while staying connected to the past and the unique context of each place. Inspired by the phrase “Can a people die?”, which has now expanded to “Can a city die?”, I believe that cities can lose touch with their essence, their very spirit. This realization sparked my passion to join the Conscious Cities Chapter, working towards a ‘Conscious Nairobi’—because the change we seek truly starts from our doorsteps.

Currently, I serve as a Graduate Architect at one of East Africa’s leading architectural firms, Symbion. Here, I have had the privilege of directly contributing to projects that aim to revive the spirit of place in the region, designing and overseeing the construction of buildings that are sensitive to regional and cultural values, yet capable of standing strong on the global stage.

As a recent proud graduate at the top of my class from the esteemed University of Nairobi, I am driven by the desire to reshape the architectural industry. This drive led me to also co-found Architect-X, a movement dedicated to expanding architects’ horizons beyond traditional boundaries and creating a more inclusive, forward-thinking approach to design. This is in addition to serving as a Fellow & Chapter Co-Lead at The Centre for Conscious Design, Nairobi chapter, where I advocate for the growth of Nairobi in a conscious, sustainable manner.
