Publishing in the Network Blog

The Network Blog is a shared space where Partners highlight insights, projects, and ideas that advance conscious design approached to the built environment. This guide explains how partners can contribute posts and what makes for a great submission.

What We Publish

We welcome a range of contributions that align with CCD’s mission, including:

  • Project stories – real-world examples of applying CCD principles.
  • Reflections and insights – learnings from research, events, or practice.
  • Vision and ideas – concepts that could inspire ideation and collaboration.
  • Tools and methods – frameworks or approaches that others can adapt.

Typical length: 600–1,200 words
Tone: conversational, reflective, and accessible to a general audience.

Process

  1. Submit your idea – Before you begin writing, send in a your idea through the form below, it needn’t be the piece itself, rather an indiction of what you’d like to write about.
  2. Idea review – The CCD Editorial Team will review the submission and get back to you with an approval or some suggestions and comments.
  3. Create a Draft of your piece in the Dashboard – The CCD Editorial Team will review your piece for clarity, alignment, and accessibility, you may receive light feedback or formatting suggestions before publication.
  4. Publication & promotion – Once published, the CCD will share your post through the Network Blog and social channels. We will provide an image for social sharing if you would also like to post across your own networks.

Tips for a Strong Post

  • Focus on why your story matters – connect it to broader CCD themes.
  • Include quotes or images to make it engaging and personal.
  • Share insights that others would find useful.
  • End with a reflection or call to action – what do you hope others will take away or do?
  • Keep jargon to a minimum; write as though you’re explaining to an interested peer.
