Akanksha Gupta is a Partner at Vijay Gupta Architects (VGA), a New Delhi-based multidisciplinary design practice founded in 1964. Today, she contributes to the practice’s efforts to adopt and experiment with new techniques and processes.
With a vested interest in material and technological innovation, she believes in designing spaces that are embedded in the present while being conscious of the needs of the future. Her creative designs and technology-integrated solutions are developed in tandem with proven methods and modern technology. With a passion for nature and its preservation, sustainability is inherent to his design process – where spatial planning, materials, and construction techniques come together to make a building environmentally responsive.
Her ever-evolving design methods fueled by her research-oriented approach to spatial design. Well aware and acquainted with global trends in design, Akanksha’s strength lies in bioinformatics and structural ingenuity enabling her to craft unique forms and facades in her projects. There is a conscious and continuous effort in her design process to adopt sustainable practices and develop cost-effective solutions. Her projects synthesize architecture and interiors to create holistically designed spaces of unified aesthetic sensitivity.
She also creates engagement and dialogue about emergent technologies, their relationships and implications in spatial design and on the end users.
