Ecological Health

Ecological health refers to the state of an ecosystem’s balance and functionality, where the interactions between living organisms and their environment are sustainable and resilient. It encompasses the diversity, stability, and productivity of ecosystems, ensuring that natural processes such as nutrient cycling, energy flow, and species interactions occur harmoniously, supporting both the environment and the organisms within it. Healthy ecosystems can better withstand disturbances, recover from environmental changes, and continue to provide essential services to all forms of life.
