Architecture With Meaning is a platform for research-informed design education that empowers designers, educators, and the public to shape environments that support people’s flourishing. Rooted in environmental psychology, research-informed design, and embodied cognition, we bring together years of practice, unique insights, and accessible tools to help anyone motivated create meaningful spaces that resonate with people and enhance well-being.
AWM evolved from Archiimpact, the digital platform co-created in 2015 that resulted in bringing people together and talking about how architecture influences human life. During the eight years of its life, Archiimpact created a worldwide network of architects and designers with common interests, published more than 30 articles and held more than 40 meetings, both in person and online. We are incredibly grateful for the presence, encouragement and engagement received from the community members and supporters.
AWM exists to integrate care into the world. Currently, we engage in teaching in diverse settings and develop specialized courses where we strive to integrate health, creativity and community in the design of everyday spaces.
