Erika Daniela Azevedo is an architect who completed her master’s degree in architecture with a thesis entitled The City and the Phenomenon of Zunga. Her research examines the relationship between informality and the built environment in Luanda, focusing on the everyday spatial practices of zungueiras (informal women street vendors). Drawing on critical urban theory, her work explores questions of belonging, gendered labour, and the ways marginalized actors negotiate visibility and space within the city.
