Sarah is a Design Researcher at Human Studio Architecture + Urban Design in Vancouver, Canada. Her background in architecture and academia helps bridge the gap between research and practice, bringing up-to-date, evidence-based design strategies for comfort and wellbeing to the office’s multifamily and institutional projects.
Sarah is also an Adjunct Professor at the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, where she uses her visual communication skills to teach Design Media courses to graduate and undergraduate students.
Sarah’s 2020 MArch thesis was featured in Canadian Architect as a Student Award of Excellence winner. Her thesis exemplifies her belief that the role of architecture is to respond sensitively and regeneratively to its emergent social, environmental, and phenomenological contexts.
